From June to August, expect hot, dry weather across much of the country. Inland cities like Marrakech and Fès can reach 35–42°C, while coastal towns like Essaouira stay cooler thanks to Atlantic breezes.
During the Winter
From December to February, days are mild (15–22°C) in cities and along the coast, but nights can be cold, especially in the desert or mountains. Snow falls in the High Atlas, making it a stunning winter destination.

Top Tips for Getting the Most Out of Your Holiday
- Master the Art of the Souk - Haggling is part of the fun. Start at half the asking price, smile often, and treat it like a game - it’s expected and part of Moroccan shopping culture.
- Try the Hammam Experience - Morocco’s traditional steam bath is a rejuvenating local ritual. Expect exfoliation, deep cleansing, and total relaxation - perfect after a day of exploring.
- Respect the Dress Code in Smaller Towns - While Morocco is welcoming, modest dress is appreciated - especially in rural areas. Loose, breathable clothing is both respectful and comfortable.
- Stay in a Riad, Not Just a Hotel - Riads are traditional Moroccan homes turned into guesthouses with inner courtyards, fountains, and stunning decor. It’s the most authentic way to experience local hospitality.
